Life has been rockin :)

Yesterday was Bible study in Tampa. We just started studying Galatians 2 so basically the different gospels preached at different times. I figured it was gonna cause some controversey but every1 just seemed to accept what the Bible says. And I don't know. I've grown to love that Bible study so much. Michy, Yaz, and Colleen = always in prayers. And there's this guy, nick that's come twice now. he didn't talk a whole lot yesterday but he said he'd be back next week. preeettty sweet :) my fav is seeing ppl getting excited about it. And I'm trying to follow Pastor Jordan's advice for teaching to aim it at their head and their heart. ANYWAYS

I am pretty much freaked out about the Edge. I don't know what I'm doing to run this thing. I need some major help. All the ppl on the teen committee (I'm trying to raise that number higher) are gonna meet on Sunday so I'm gonna put together a bunch of committees AND we'll see if these folks are ready to commit. AH. pretty nervous

Saturday was amazing. I read a whole book. by jane orcutt callled a fugitive heart. that book was pretty much amazing. :)

alright loove forever in my heart

DAWNY :)

Good morning :)

I love this feeling that my life has been lately. Just pure happiness. I feel like I'm living in Avonlea, lol.

I have been going to Tampa every week for about a month now to do Bible study with Michy :) I have grown to love Yazi also. We are now going through the book of Galatians. It is so awesome to me to see Michy reading the Bible on her own, understanding it, loving it, being encouraged by it. The scripture is an amazing thing.

In the past couple months I have started hanging out with Colleen again :) she is pretty much the best friend a person could have. Too bad she's moving back to MI in a couple weeks :( I will miss her.

Also somehow Heather and I became the best of friends randomly, lol. She is awesome and I love her. We are so much I like. I get her... to the point where like I remember feeling how she feels. It's weird, but cool. I've never related to some1 that much b4. We've been studying Romans over the phone.

I have recently started a Bible study at my house on Tuesday nights. So far it's been pretty good. So far its been Kyle, Marcellis, Lacey, Becky and I.

BBC has been good. We are about to start a Sunday night service geared towards 16-25 year olds called the Edge. I'm hoping all will go well.

Love,

Dawn

So I've been thinking this is the year that my class mostly will be graduating from college with the big BaCHeLoR's ;) I was really thinking about how I dropped out of college and I'm really grateful that I did. I look at the last 4 years of my life with gratitude. I've grown tremendously in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom (and still have ALOT more to go, lol) but I'm glad that all of the things that I've learned have been truth. It's easy to follow the course of this world. Go to college and let unbelievers teach you through the eyes of their world view. It's annoying to have to weed out what you belive from what you don't and just take the good stuff but's definitely possible. I could do it. Anybody could do it. But I don't want to. I feel like I've gotten a better education than anyone who went to school. And that's because I've been studying God's word. The times I've learned the most have been by no human teacher. But by the Holy Spirit. I've had one text book that contains all truth. And it only costs 5 bucks.

I believe that a few months ago I became an adult. It was a long process but I finally figured it out. I realized that this whole time since about 5th or 6th grade I've been an adolesent. In my mind a human goes through 3 basic stages of life (and maybe more than I haven't hit yet) child, adolesent(spelling?) adult

child- a young human whose opinions thoughts and mind are all formed by their parents. They generally don't understand that their parents make mistakes especially mistakes concerning them.

adolesent- a young human who has come to the realization that their parents make many mistakes every day of their life. Because of this realization they now must find their own viewpoints and opinions about EVERYTHING in life. This is the stage where a human's mind is forming. During this stage humans take the mistakes that their parents have made that have screwed them up in some way and screw themselves up even more. Adolesents are CRAZY.

adult- a human being who realized that they are screwed up, why they are screwed up, that everyone is screwed up, and forgive their parents and (in most cases depending on how bad their parents were) realize that their parents were right the whole time :)

What's up? I love my life. I never journal anymore, but I know I should. Cuz I'm gonna forget my whole life if I don't, lol.

Skylar came to visit this week. She just left yesterday. I love that girl fa real. On Monday we went to Cocoa Beach and I got all tan, so I think u can actually start being able to tell I live in FL, lol. Skylar got burnt, lol, which never happened to her b4 in her life. Skylar and Becky rented a surfboard and tried to teach themselves. It was amusing to watch.

There are some wild ducks who had ducklings at the pond by my work. I take the kids up there every day to feed em. Tell me why Skylar caught 3 of em, lol. Poor little ducks. Hilarious

Skylar made us yummy hamburgers. We went to city walk and saw Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. It was good as are all Tyler Perry movies.

Before Skylar came, Mitch was here. We went and saw the new Ben Stein movie, "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" which I loved. It was really interesting. Mitch came to church with us on Sunday.

Last Saturday was one of the best days of my life. Seriously, that's weird to say..but there was a grace FL women's retreat in Orlando (which is where I live, lol) Anyway 4 women taught on the 4 chapters of Philippians and I've never been so encouraged in my life from any conference or anything. I love Zjaan and Leslie and it was cool hearing them speak. And then I got to know a new woman from our church, Evon, who just moved from AZ. She's pretty cool. And overall, I just felt like Philippians was written to women. It's crazy how the word of God works in you.

Also I teach the Edge which is the teen group at my church.(www.floridagrace.com) One of em wants to go thru the book of Revelation which I agreed to, but I'm finding that my intro to get to Revelation is probably gonna take awhile, lol. I can't just jump to the end of the story without going over the beginning and end. I love my teens and I love preparing what I'm gonna teach for them. I'm just praying that the word of God will be encouraging for them and that they'll grow spiritually. It's a tough world for teens.

One last thing: Grace Bible Church has audio messages online now which is my dream come true. Seriously, I listen to one a day. I'm just used to Pastor Tom's teaching and I'm so happy that the guys decided to do this.
It's www.rightlydividing.org and then click on the link at the top

LOVEEE :)

hello fellow americans and what have we got ourselves into? hilary? obama? mccain? huckabee? who shall we choose? eh well- life will go on no matter who gets in right? so i live in Orlando now. Loving it. i was never one for cold weather and NOW its feb 6 and 86 degrees outside. Whasssup :) Becky and I live in a little junky apt haha. Cebrina lives 10 minutes away which is always a plus. and life is still going on. I still listen to Bob Dutko via internet. (Can't do without him) although I'm not so sure about the republican party anymore. But I would never vote pro choice so theres no option w/ the democrats anyway. But man Bush put us in a hole. 9 trillion? iyiyiy. the 2 issues i'm most concerned with in a president are

abortion and fair trade

others are immigration, the war, gun rights

pro-life, fair trade, send em back, fight the war, follow the constitution

hey, and fair tax sounds like a good idea to me. Go Huckabee

I am a nanny down here for children named Ethan and Paige. 4 and 2.

I go to Berean Bible Church which is over an hour away from my house. I teach the teens there. I like it.

yea, im not a patriot. not a fan of the US. not a fan of any country to tell you the truth. The only thing that I really like to be identified with is Christ.

i've just been reading some stuff about kent hovind. you know he's in prison. for not paying taxes. yea, he's one of those crazy people who thinks the government is out to get him. i am too actually.

i think you have to be blind not to see it. or just trust. most americans trust people way too much.

why do you assume that when you go to the store you can buy any food on the shelf and it will be safe? you trust that in the United States you won't get sick from the food. and surely we don't get sick right away. but you don't know, it may cause long term problems. to eat processed food. to eat poison. bug poison, weed poison. to eat growth hormones, chemicals. nooo, on second thought, that couldn't be true. no. there are a whole bunch of checks all the food has to go through before it can lay on the shelf. FDA. i trust the FDA.

our goverment doesn't want to control us. that's silly. afterall, governments don't generally want to control their people. they usually let them do whatever they want. as a matter a fact, people never like to have control over other people. espeicially not in america.

those vaccinations and all those medicines are good for you. how do i know? the doctor said so! did i do any studying for myself? well, my doctor has done all that studying.

some people ask too many questions.

better keep an eye on them

well, i guess alot has happened since i posted last. im movin to FL! :D should be fun. raquels gettin married to this guy named chris who lives in orlando. her and cebrina will be moving there in June. Me and becky will go down and get an apartment in september. imma come back like every month tho. spirit's low fares.

cebrina had some bad pnemonia wher she couldnt breathe. she thought she was dying cuz she couldnt get any air in. she asked her mom if she was goin to heaven now. she rushed her to emergency and she was admitted right away. she had to be on oxygen and an IV and everything poor girl :(

some girls that come to my Bible study are on punishment, but Bible study is the only place theyre allowed to go every week. they wanted to go out so they stopped comin to BIble study for a couple weeks and told their guardian that they were goin with me. nd then somethin bad happened while they were out. they got caught. now i'm going to their house to do Bible study every friday night cuz theyre not allowed out of it.

my sisters grampa died. his wife survived him. they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before he died. crazy.

my brother is now engaged :) wedding in a coupla years.

belize changed to honduras. i'm hoping becky and i will be able to go. it's in june.

i've been doing Bible study w/ Jehovah's witnesses, but i'm bout to cancel them i think. i just dont want to because i have grown to love the lady that i do them with. she will cry if i cancel em. there's no point in doing them anymore because there are points that we have already discussed, and i do not agree with her on. she gave me her argument and i disagree. she has already told me that she KNOWS she has the truth and there is nothing that i can show her. she won't listen. she admits she wont. the only hope of it now is because she brings different women every week. maybe one of them may see the truth. but not maha. although i want her to desperately.

WHATS GOIN OOOON :)

i'm at work.

ever rinsed a kid's mouth out with soap? i did yesterday for the first time ever :/ it was not fun. i feel abusive, ha. but the mother told me to do it if he cusses. it didnt help cuz today he said the same thing. i just acted like i didnt hear. eh well. I need a lot of patience for this little one. At least it's just one and not like MCS where there are millions of em running around. He's perfect one on one. Which i guess is what he needs right now. ANYWAYS.

umm...kristin is engaged? i found out from Chris. Matt proposed like a month ago. I guess that means kristin and i's relationship has pretty much dwindled down to nothing :( i hate that crap.

i'm going to belize this summer :) provided everything works out okay. hopefully we'll have enough people to go.

i need help with Bible study. we don't have anywhere to have it and i don't have a phone. it's hard to have Bible study without those 2 things. but we've been somehow surviving. i'm just frustrated. w/e.

alright just thought i would update. everything is going good :)

The conference last weekend was good. The whole thing was about faith. Faith- the only response God will accept....in any dispensation. haha, i added that last part myself. So yea. I'm like 80% that now. saved by faith without works in every dispensation WITH eternal security. it makes more sense i guess. God is no respecter of persons. The gospel was different, but it only takes faith in whatever gospel you have. I'm not for sure yet though. we shall see. mitch wants to have a race reading through the Bible. I don't mind but I just seriously do not feel like reading through Exodus-Deuteronomy again. :/ I always just get past them and then I start over for some reason. I'm in Judges now.

I'm at work right now and it is going pretty good. Nothing really to say about it. My room is clean, which happens about once every 6 months.

Belize is coming up this summer. I think I'm gonna go. Only I feel like I'm wasting money because unless I'm going to move there. Which now Des lives in FL so I can prolly just go to Africa with him. That'd be more realistic probably. But I would like to check up on every1 in Belize and see how they are. If there are any grace believers. Eh, i'll probably go, just because I told keith I wanted to. I really don't feel like asking ppl for money, but that is the only way... :( ah well.

I'm rambling.

I'm gone.

Dawn

well alot has happened since i wrote last. i switched jobs :( i miss parker and summer. I went from watching an 18 month old who can dress herself to a 2.5 year old who cannot. i'm not raggin on the 2.5 year old either. he's right where he should be. i'm just used to my genius kids. ah well.

my new family consists of 5 ppl. tim's the dad; sarah's the mom. and then 3 boys. Drew, 8; Gehrig, almost 6, and Ethan 2.5. Theyre cool kids. Ethan lacks discipline...well did b4 I came. I felt like I was a super nanny. He's ALOT better now though. The first day I was ready to quit. He still spends alot of his day sitting in time-out. but slowly it's growing to be less and less. which in turn means that we can do more learning activities. He'll have a good day and some bad days. But he's learning.

As far as the 2 older boys go, theyre good kids. Never had to give either of them a time-out. They actually have different parents. the 2 older ones belong to Tim and Ethan belongs to Sarah. He's definitely been spoiled his whole life.

They live out in Berkley, so about a 45 minute drive to and from. The drive definitely sucks. But it's good money, and the cool thing about it is that I get paid no matter what. Even if I have a day off or even a week off I still get paid. I like that alot. Theyre also pretty lenient compared Diane and Virgil. Like right now I'm sitting on their computer updating my lj. Not as much cleaning here. Not as much rules. Nevertheless, I miss the Doves too much. I want to cry thinking about it. I seriously love them all.

I got a mini-van. In a hurry. Got pressured into by every1 around me. Now I regret it. I paid too much for 150,000 miles. Why did I even buy a car with that many miles? Again, pressured to death. I owe my dad 2300. Raquel's paying the interest. And my dad paid for 1000. well more than that actually. bout 1400 the plates and all that. this is what I mean. they wanted me to have it so bad THEY started paying for it. whateverrrr.

It's all good now cause Becky got a mini-van too. So she drives Cebrina to school. So I dont have that task any longer. It's impossible cause of my new job.

Becky and I are going to FL this weekend for the conference. :) It's prolly gonna make me miss doug alot, but w/e. maybe not. I'm very excited about it. Michy is lettin me stay with her :) so nice. we're goin for really cheap.

Bible study with Jehovah's witnesses has been goin good. we study with a lady named Maha now who I love to death. really. She's awesome. She's drivin us to the airport. As far as the doctrine goes...I'm very open-minded and I dont mind hangin out with ppl who believe differently than me. Because of this, I think Maha thinks I am going to convert to Jehovah's witness. I go to their meetings sometimes and I am getting to know the whole kingdom hall. I really have not changed my point of view on anything I believe so far, and I've told her that. However, I know she has hope that I will convert. She is very sincere and I almost feel bad. But I also realize that if they are willing to accept me at the kingdom hall even though I have different beliefs I shouldnt not go because I disagree. No. I should go for as long as they will allow me and show them why I have differing beliefs using the Bible. I can't see myself leaving em. And as of right now I cant see them kicking me out. So. I guess I'll be hangin out with Maha for along time. Which is no problem for me. She's like my flippin role model far as how she acts. how nice she is. and stuff like that. and patient. alrighty

anythiiing else...NOT that I can think of

love you all

On the Judgment Day you will have to account for everything you did and chose to do with your life. You will not be able to have your shepherd or spiritual parent stand in your place.

The Bible was not written in chapters and verses, they were added later. A single verse is not always a complete thought.

The Bible is not a book of magic Christian astrological promises, to be pulled out of context for the day. All promises, even those we pull from our promise boxes, must be seen within the context of the whole passage. For example:

“I can do all things through Christ” (Phil. 4:13)

In context, Paul is speaking of failure and success.

“Work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil.

2:12b)

In context, it is God who works in you.

Keep in mind that all persons of authority in Scripture were vulnerable to sin. Moses had to stand under the Ten Commandments. David was confronted by Nathan. Peter, following Pentecost, led the Galatians down the wrong path.

Ask to whom your pastor is accountable in your local church. Can your pastor deal with his weaknesses, and does he know his limitations?

Remember John’s words, "If we say we have not sin, we deceive ourselves and God’s word is not in us.”

Remember that the biographies you buy at the local Christian bookstore were also written with marketing in mind. They often tell only one side of the picture. The Bible is very frank about the difficulties in the lives of God’s leaders.

Know that the purpose of the body of Christ is to equip us for a better ministry. This assumes none of us has arrived yet. Your pastor, popular evangelists, and electronic pastors are just as vulnerable to sexual thoughts, manipulative tactics, and exaggerations as you are.

Learn what the Bible says about body life but also about body odor in the church.

Know your own weaknesses and strengths. Then surround yourself with others who are strong where you are weak.

Take seriously the biblical account of the Fan. There is no place for the words “I am shocked” in the Christian’s vocabulary.

Remind yourself that on Judgment Day, the call will be “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” not “Well done, thou good and successful servant.”

Remember that the Bible does not teach the immortality of the soul but rather the resurrection of the body. Jesus came to destroy our sin not our humanness. Spirituality in Scripture affirm our humanness and negates our sin. God the Father said of Jesus, “This is my Son with whom I am well pleased” after he developed as a carpenter and before his ministry.

Be very cautious in using the phrase “the Lord led me."

Learn to listen intently to a sermon. Reflect on its content Resist responding to emotional stories, but rather ask if they clarify the passage.

Check the passage of Scripture used in the sermon and see if it is presented within the context of the whole chapter.

Set aside a time to evaluate your own personal life. Ask whether you get upset over Christians who do something cultural of which you do not approve. Then ask yourself whether you feel guilty about gossiping, exaggerating, or using others for personal gains.

Remember that Scripture gives us content by which we can evaluate whether a speaker is expressing truth. There are no biblical checks and balances concerning emotions.

if you have a new version Bible you have errors in it. thousands. here's 3.

matt 5:22 (NIV) But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother[a]will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,[b]' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

mark 3:5 (NIV) He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.

Jesus says being angry is sin. Jesus became angry. Jesus sinned in the NIV

2 Samuel 21:19 (NIV)In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod.

1 Chron 20:5 (NIV) In another battle with the Philistines, Elhanan son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod.

Obviously we know that the Chronicles is the right one because David killed Goliath.

Mark 1:2 (NIV) It is written in Isaiah the prophet:
"I will send my messenger ahead of you,
      who will prepare your way

Malachi 3:1 (NIV) "See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD Almighty.

It is not written in Isaiah. It is written in Malachi.

some people say that there is errors in all the Bibles. Show me one in the KJV.

The Bible conference was fuuuun :)

i LOOOOVe em
